Indeed. Fuller explanation of when a safety is awarded:

Team A ball carrier is tackled in his own end zone after Team A possession started outside their end zone*
Ball is fumbled out of end zone of team in possession;
Offensive penalty committed in their own end zone (most commonly intentional grounding);

*e.g any offensive play, which is always snapped outside the end zone, and on a kick or punt return which is fielded outside the endzone and then run back into it. But not a kick, punt return, interception or fumble recovery which is made IN the end zone and has not come out of the end zone before the tackle is made. In that case it is a safety.
*Ball carrier being tackled includes being run out of bounds
