1 up front ??

Other than for the additional player in midfield why do we never go 2 up top?
I can't help feeling a little sorry for our strikers sometimes. I listened to radio swampy's canary call yesterday with Chris Sutton and he said most strikers do not have enough of the attributes to do everything up front alone. He pointed out that mbokani is strong and great at the link up play, but can't run in behind like camjam or grabbs.
If we played an old school 442 at least occasionally we could get the best out of both strikers. Hate to point out Watford, but they have done well with it this season.
