Tell you what I think would happen if you were in charge of the club. I think you'd hail any win as a sign that all was well, rail against anyone who saw any kind of bigger picture, then when it went pear-shaped, say "this is hindsight - who could have seen that at the time? Get behind the team or you're not a true fan". Rinse and repeat.
Seriously. Why do you take things so unbelievably personally? Why are you so precious? I relate the past to the present and I'll keep doing it. Many football fans do. Many people do actually. But given you hate the past so much, I trust you'll never mention the play-off final ever again in your life; and you'll never mention beating Ipswich 5-1 ever again in your life; and you'll never mention winning at Old Trafford ever again in your life; and you'll never mention today's game ever again in your life.
Because it was in the past. So what does it have to do with anything, eh?
