FAO Jim - Watford most certainly ARE a good team

Unless, as some pundits undoubtedly will, you dismiss their, Palace or Leicester's position as indicative of a sub-standard league. That's what lazy pundits said about the Prem when we were top.

But just because they're called "Watford" and we're used to thinking of them as a lower Championship size club doesn't mean they're not a good team. Of course they are. And their appointment in the summer of someone who, 8 years ago, was commonly viewed as the next managerial hot property in Europe, said as much.

Doesn't matter that they came up with us. They're in a different place to us now. Clearly, we went so cagey there *because* they're good. Liverpool didn't go cagey, so they got stuffed.

Oh, one other thing. There is no sign, zero whatsoever, of them collapsing after Xmas either. They're far too solid and good at the basics for that. I've seen plenty of teams over the years who had all the hallmarks of a second half of the season slide; they don't have any of those hallmarks.

The amazing thing from an English football point of view is: neither do Leicester. Who have a great chance of reaching the CL now. I think, all things being equal, Leicester should finish 3rd (and if they win their next two, that could change to 1st, genuinely; Watford, top 10.
