Away tickets question

How easy/hard is it for a season ticket holder to get a ticket for an away game?

My 9 year old grandson ( with his own season ticket) is now so committed to NCFC he wants me to take him to an away game later this season.

I realise some games will be harder than others but is it possible to travel away without a long history as an away supporter?
