The bloke didn't appear to act much like an innocent victim in all this

Would not be surprised if he was enjoying winding up Ruddy. Sometimes they know what they're doing to get a reaction. And reaction he got. It's like pressing buttons, they know what works to make someone else angry. Ruddy and others like him need to learn how to rise above it though. I'm sure quite a lot of us in his situation would also feel inclined to react, it depends how emotionally intelligent we are as to whether we just walk away or laugh at the prat
