Yeah but you're paid not to put yourself in that position... I just spent

7 months in Germany and 1 in the USA coaching professionally. Now normally I love a night out - probably one or two a week on average - but I knew I couldn't be seen out pissed. I went for a meal a couple of times, and went on the piss twice - once was the night after the finals day of the World Cup in Ohio and once was the Oktoberfest the week after we'd lost our German League semi-final.

I would have loved to get out, socialise more, but you just can't do it.

And I was NOT getting paid what Ruddy is getting paid. So, especially if you're feeling down or vulnerable you have to be smart about your choice of activity (and location)
