Getting s**t from the public about your on field fortunes. Very few escape it. Have to be able to deal with that. I wouldn't have much sympathy if it were that simple.

Was once in Hy's in the early 90s with the Norwich players there. Ruel Fox and Beckford were at the bar. My mate walked up timidly to Beckford and said "excuse me. Ermmmm". Beckford puffs out, feeling all important and says "yes mate". Mate then asks "is that really Mark Robins over there?!!"

Beckford looked destroyed. Foxy pissed himself.
