Can confirm Bowkett was approached this morning

by the newly formed Wrath Detectorist Club and had accepted the position of Board Member, his statement is reproduced below with kind permission of the WDC...

Firstly, I would like to place on the record my thanks to everyone at Norwich City Football Club for all their support during my years as Chairman - it was one he'll of a ride. I'm extremely honoured to have served the club and immensely proud to leave it far healthier than when I joined.

However, life is full of twists and turns and a new challenge presented itself this morning, one I could not turn down.

The Wrath Detectorist Club is clearly going places and I want to be part of that journey. They have their own trestle table, and it's not one of those cheap flimsy plywood ones that sag in the middle - it's a right decent one. Pixelman's got a trowel and Old Git's got a proper grown ups detector - so we're not like that Pink Un Detectorist lot with their National Geographic kids ones - bunch of night hawking t**ts.

I should add that the WDC is currently taking on new members and have a fun competition going on at the moment to design the club's logo (something to attract the kids to the growing detectorist movement) - thank you for your time today, and as we, in the WDC, like to say - keep your trowel clean.
