Spending ?19M on Hooper, RVW and Fer (hugely overrated luxury)

was an absolute disaster for the club. The most money a Norwich manager had ever been afforded... and he signed that lot. So yes, when it truly mattered, he signed some absolute s**te, relative to the money spent.

No doubt that he had a good window in the summer of 2012 though, considering the budget of the time. Tettey, Bassong and Snodgrass were all exceptional that season. Turner did okay too, which is fair enough for how much he cost.

Agree that the board were stupid to sack Hughton at the time too. He should have gone in the summer for the transfer failings, regardless of whether we stayed up or not. But at least with Hughton you can say there was a slim chance of survival (think he would have relegated us, but at least letting him finish the job would have prevented this endless pointless debate). Giving the task to Adams was utterly bonkers.
