A garden cane fixed to the back of the net. When the ball hits then net

The cane wobbles. The other end of the cane is split, and in the split is a matchstick. It rests head down on a piece of striking paper. The vibration causes the match to ignite, burning the paper and in turn the fuse to a box of fireworks.

When the wife see's/hears the fireworks, she presses play on the stereo.

Something like that.
