Photographer Pits

Where I work, if we leave a manhole uncovered and not barrier-ed off, we would be on a disciplinary. These photographer pits are effectively manholes.
The club seem quite happy to take the covers off well before kick off with players and others on the pitch at risk of falling in.
This H&S issue really needs addressing before someone is hurt.
