I happen to think it was a very good thing for the country. I may be biased as a liberal, but can you imagine Brown hanging on or the Tories having had sole charge? Shudder.
The bigger f**k up was tuition fees. I think on the whole voters can forgive pragmatic decisions taken for the good of the country. But outright lies and breaking a core pledge? Big error.
Agree that the Lib Dems need a good leader though. Maybe someone will turn up after the next GE.
It'll be a sorry state of affairs in 2020 if George Osborne is the most electable party leader.
