exactly - I think this was where Hughton had a problem with him

in that Wes doesn't contribute enough to the defence, but also doesn't score enough in a side that is only playing with two or three attacking playes. He's also at his best with lots of players and movement around him - it's quite easy for the opposition to shut him out when he's only got Mbokani to find - because he can't go past players and can't shoot from a long way out.

Definitely still has a role to play, but I think Neil will choose the games carefully where he can be effective.
