...it looks like the highest scoring 5 day test ever was Australia vs West Indies in 1969 - 1764 runs.

If the 5th day in this one saw the same number of runs scored as the average of the previous 4, then that would be beaten - would be 1,800.

Unlikely, but not completely impossible, either, if Australia end up declaring, and given the rate this NZ team scores at...)
