"Europe?s Muslim population, boosted by large families and immigration, will nearly double, from less than 6% (43 million people) in 2010 to more than 10% (71 million people) in 2050, the forecast estimates"
I don't have the time to find the stats for what Europe's Muslim population was 40 years ago, but I'll bet my mortgage that it wan't 6% of the population.
Europe has, and continuous, to undergo a significant change in its demographic make up. That has consequences if not handled well (and it's safe to say it hasn't always been handled well*).
I think you're leaping to conclusions if you think that someone who points that out has some sort of racist or Daily Mail like agenda. It's a fundamental fact that any discussion about immigration generally, or specific issues like how you tackle fundamentalism and this kind of terrorism cannot skirt around.
(*although perhaps better than how the Sub-Romano Brits handled the Saxon immigration issue, which didn't go so well for the Britons)
