Poor old Jerome - if that stat gets out to the crowd he'll be

copping abuse for being lazy every time he doesn't skin a defender or chase down a hopeless lost cause at full speed.

He has the wrong kind of speed for football anyway. He's probably really fast in a straight line sprint over 50 yards, but he'll only ever do that when closing down a goalkeeper or on a rare counter attack. I reckon his acceleration and ability to quickly change direction aren't so good though.
