Very poignant

My wife's family have been through the same experience. H? uncle was shot down in his huricane whilst attacking the scharnhorst. The family still have his log book, wings, letters and other personal items.
This means his memory and life will always be remembered for generations and as his body was never recovered, the family had a stained glass window put in his local church. He was 21 and had flown 20 missions.
I stand in marvel what they did and will always be thankful that my baby boomers life has never been affected in the way that theirs was.
We will remember them.
