we won't ever find the perfect balance with this squad

they're not good enough at this level. We should either set up super defensively and try to eek out enough 0-0s and 1-0s to stay up.

Or we carry on as we are now and play entertaining football, but probably end up going down.

The defence needs too much protection and the attackers need too many chances to score, to try and do a bit of both successfuly.
