Same thing happened to the wife when she was at college av long time ago.

She was doing an art exhibition and was using a can of the stuff. It wouldn't work so she jammed a screwdriver into it. It exploded and went in her hair so had to have it all cut off.

What impressed me most about that story was when she went to get it cut off, Vanessa Feltz was having her hair cut next to her!
