nobody has called anybody nasty or racist in this discussion

and that's the point.

no one (or the cast majority) is *consciously* making a decision based on skin-colour, they are not being nasty.

They are just being humans, using normal human thought patterns.

Initially it takes something extra to break out of that thought process. Then there becomes like a 'tipping-point' where there's enough examples of black managers for it to not even take that extra thought process.

It's a similar thing for women in top jobs in business, (or working as linos or club doctors...)
