Really? I find him terribly convincing

It's highly likely that he decided to kidnap her in a violent and terrifying assault simply in order to give her a lecture about not being rude to her mum, and that then he strangled her in a fit of panic before dismembering her body and concealing it all from his girlfriend. I can think of nothing more natural.
