There a reason that they can command salaries of ?3m a year. They have plenty of experience and a chairman eyeing next year's ?100m tv bonus will see them as being a good bet to deliver all that matters - survival.
Appointing alex neil last season was a gamble. It paid off for promotion but i think the premier league has surprised him, particularly if he started the season thinking our defence was good enough.
He will become a top manager, but this season still has a lot to learn.
