We did the same thing a couple of summers ago when we wasted half the summer chasing Alweidrwrld and the Quag.

Fine to have a go at signing these players but surely if you have even vaguely decent scouts and agent contacts you have a good idea whether you can realistically sign these players and don't get strung along.

We should have hoovered up the best centre half and right back in the championship as soon as we got promoted.
