Really? I will admit none of them are ideal at this level but Whitaker really

is horrendously poor defensively. Fans often seem to think he's had a good game because he does do some good things going forward but his key function is to defend and he usually gives the opposition two or three decent chances a game. In part due to his lack of pace.

Could not believe he was getting praise after Anfield when he quite easily could have gifted them three goals in that match. If I was an opposition manager facing us then I think its very obvious that you put a quick winger on the left and get him one on one with or running in behind Whitaker as often as possible.

Unusually though they caused us more problems down their right yesterday.
