I don't think the Tories are doing themselves any favours by the spin

They are trying to put on the bin laden quote (factually correct that he used the word tragedy but ignoring the wider context of the statement) but Corbyn has repeatedly refused to condemn the IRA when asked, his shadow chancellor is on record calling them heroes and he has also demonstrated past sympathies with individuals linked to Arab terrorist organisations who he has called "friends" so he brings the tag on himself to a degree.
