I thought it was a nicely subtle end to what could have been an overly obvious and sensationalist finale. The Milky/Combo story was simple and understated - I liked that they didn't have Combo trying to avoid the inevitable and that he walked willingly to his own death and accepted his fate as if it was deserved. The last few scenes at the wedding that showed Milky dealing with the consequences of his actions while the people around him celebrated was nice too. Of all the arguments that all the characters have shared with each other, they had all put, or were actively trying to put the past behind them. The only one who hadn't been able to put the past behind them was the only one not celebrating. A lot of TIE90 had been about hope and the future but the ultimate message was really that people are responsible for making their own future from what they have. What a brilliant series it was. I'll miss it.
