They wanted a CB too, but were either turned down or out priced.

However, it's better to have the player rather than the money, so worth spending a tiny bit more to secure the quality needed. That's if they've done their homework...

Just glad they aren't relying on Chester/Hughton/Calderwood to make the signings anymore.
