I think even John would admit he's not in the form of his life. Personally I find it quite reassuring that they're not just picking keepers on the basis of the league they're playing in

Selecting Dele Alli is bizarre though. I was joking to a Spurs supporting colleague that he'd be in the next England squad after the last couple of games - I didn't realise that he was actually under consideration. It just shows how insanely thin the England squad is to be calling on a 19 year-old after a handful of games for his club side. Also, Hodgson's suggestion that Grealish won't be an 'automatic pick' for England after he rejected the ROI made me smile - he's nailed on to be in the squad once fit given the fuss the media have made of him.
