being an employee probably makes it more important to raise it

I don't know what the H&S policy is at your place generally but at ours we are expected to raise safety issues with line managers etc and failing to do so would lead to awkward questions.

(Mind you our H&S policy is bats**t mental. As grown adults we are not allowed to use our volunteering time at animal charities because animals are dangerous. FFS.)
