At the top end that's definitely true

I'd say there is less if a gap generally between the championship and premiership than there was too.

The ability of championship clubs to hold on to their best players didn't exist either. Clubs like us, wolves etc would sell our best players at the drop of a hat 15 years ago. Not so now.
