Re. my suggestion to drop Ruddy

I certainly wouldn't say he's the sole cause of our defensive frailty. Too many of our players switch off at set pieces and at times you could drive a bus between our centre backs. However, the fact remains that Ruddy's judgement is poor compared with his form of two or three years ago, as evidenced by the second goal and that ball on the edge of the box that he tried to claim and got nowhere near. He still makes excellent reflex saves as we saw yesterday, but I would argue that command of your box is more important when it comes to reassuring your back line. Clearly defence is our weakest area and I would argue that it's worth giving Rudd a go just in case it does help to solidify us. After all, he's our only keeper to have kept a clean sheet against PL opposition this season.
