his strength was impressive a few times and he did a few good lay-offs

he just looked off the pace to me. Once he had done something he looked knackered, rather than immediately trying to make himself available or get in the box. I was expecting/hoping that he would be a similar kind of player to Jerome - only with better finishing. Definitely too early to really judge him yet though.
