Didn't he pretty much challenge his authority in front of all the other players very early

on. Being captain at the time only one could survive. I think Adams did the right thing, he had to under the circumstances, otherwise the rest of the squad would have lost all respect for him immediately.

Neil is a class above Adams (who was a great yoof coach and probably still could be a decent coach, but as an alpha tactician such as SAN, no comparison whatsoever!)
