I'd trust the players

The people players have loyalty to are their teammates - the ones they train with and play alongside every week. Far more than their actual clubs.

And anyway you aren't forced to play them - if you suspect they might not give 100% you can leave them out. But it should be your call. If anything I rather suspect they'd try harder in order to impress.

I remember Chelsea whinging the other year when Courtois was allowed to play against them in the CL semi final as though it was somehow unfair, despite the fact that they were prepared to let him go for the season. Goes without saying he was superb.

Most other countries allow loanees to play and I'm not aware of any prominent incidents arousing the remotest suspicion.
