Its clear the electorate trusted the tories with the economy more so than labour. Your argument is about 4 months too late and one that lost labour the election. Pushing the old 'end austerity/print more money' argument is lost. The further left and more extreme labour get, the bigger risk to the country's economic stability it will be - and when push comes to shove the vast majority of the electorate wont take the risk.
