It was only last season under Allardyce where he played less (13 games). So far this season he has made 4 starts plus 4 appearances from the bench, this doesn't include pre-season friendlies.
Jarvis should be match fit, cos West Ham were in the Europa League, he's naturally left footed and much as I loved Bradders for his effort and passion, I think Jarvis is a more dynamic, quick and skillful player than BJ. He has also been top of the crossing stats in two of his Prem seasons.
With all the best will in the world was BJ really a Prem standard player, personally I don't think so.
