I know we haven't signed him yet as the club would have announced it

and I have my doubts we will. To be clear, the Talksport story said we had signed him but when you actually read the report it said he is set to sign. The player was out for 18 months not that long ago so it will certainly be an interesting risk so the one year loan makes sense to a point.
