Mbokani

Am cheered somewhat that this is the news of the day - of all the names linked I think he'd bring the best balance to the squad, hopefully with an option to purchase at the end of the year if all goes well - if we're looking to replace Grabban or Hooper then on top of Mbokani I think Gayle or Austin would be worth a punt, though the fees & wages might be problematic, particularly for Austin (noting all the realistic assessments of our cashflows).

Is the Pritchard thing a no-no now 'cos of loan rules? That'd be interesting too.

Jerome/Mbokani/RVW/Pritchard would be a nice mix. Can see Ricky doing ok with a more muscular partner up front (nice to have as an option) as his positioning and movement is good, but strength on the ball seems lacking.

Grabban looks a pain, Hooper would be handy backup, but a change of scene might do him good - not sure on Lafferty - could still do okay but doesn't seem to be pressing a claim either.
