Just back from the game via a f**ked up A47

Good fun all in all. Rudd had a few saves to make, but presumably couldn't see the shot for their goal. All the others were snap shots from the edge of the box, no real sitters but he had to make them. Going forward there was encouraging stuff from Quo Vadis mixed with a bit of finding his way. He made quite a lot happen though. Toffolo looked ok, Wisdom was better with the ball than without it (I thought) and Ryan Bennett looked like he is - talented but without much brain. He gets in some poor positions for a player as rated as he is by some. At the risk of being labelled a Ricky creationist, our one striker to score so far this season had a good game, especially in the second half. Good touches, lots of effort and attitude. One high clearance he controlled under pressure on the touch line, looked up and played a very nice crossfield pass, starting a move which should have finished in a goal. Then shortly afterwards a close range tap in.

The way I think is this: it's not worked so far for him, clearly. But the Ricky situation is a bit of a microcosm of the whole team/transfer window moment. Steadfastly believing he will never improve is just as narrow a point of view as blindly hoping he will. Let's just watch what happens, enjoy the football, support the team and hope for the best rather than play "I-always-said-he-was-no-good-yes-he-is-no-he-isn't-I-said-this-would-happen" until we all lose the will to live.
