I hated maths, but was put in a class where

the only possible marks were A, B or C. If you scored lower you got ungraded. Or you could go in a lower skill class where the max achievable was a C. Despite my shocking maths (3% in a mock) they insisted I stayed in the top class.

You can guess the outcome.

Do schools still do nonsense like this? I've always held a grudge about it, as you can see.
