Having watched the game yesterday, then the highlights on MotD and

the Football First highlights and Goal on Sunday on Sky... you realise just how much you miss watching a game live. I don't mean Garry Brookeses regular habit of missing ghouls whilst he's answering calls of nature, but rather the appreciation of the things we do really well on the pitch.

I suppose when you're watching live you tend to focus more on the aspects of things we're not doing so well. The misplaced passes, the sloppy defending, the needless loss of possession, the glaring errors in front of goal etc etc. your emotions are heightened that you cannot necessary absorb and applaud all the sublties and nuances of the things we do really well. Perhaps you're too anxious because you're not sure quite what's going to happen next?

With time to watch a game again, knowing the outcome, you can relax and dismiss those negative thoughts to the back of your mind and begin to appreciate what a bloody great team we've got. Some of the inter-passing, movement and one-touch football was a sight to behold and a joy to watch. Never mind Wes's beautiful control and pass back to Howson for the shot that led to the corner to the first goal. Never mind the little magician's two one two's. CamJam had a great game picking the ball up, tracking back, putting his foot in and winning back possession. Brady was brill, looking like he'd been in the team for a couple of years. Dorrans continually made a nuisance of himself. Tettster was immense again allowing the wing backs to get forward at every opportunity.
Indeed, EVERY player was on song yesterday. They oozed confidence and quality because they knew what they were doing. That comes from a great leader and manager.

When the pundits said about giving Norwich credit, they meant it. They weren't being patronising. As bad as Sunderland were, we were superb in every area of the field and in every aspect of the game. And yet, there's still room for improvement. Exciting times ahead I feel.
