A few of my thoughts from yesterday

1. It really was a friendly stadium. Everyone to do with Sunderland I came across was pretty lovely.

2. It was odd having the away fans all up on the upper level. You felt a bit detached from the rest of the crowd - especially as their fans were so quiet. Every now and then you'd hear a tiny bit of The Roker Roar and realise they were there. It made me think we were in a bubble but SAN obviously could hear us as he waved when requested.

3. I accidentally bought the independent supporters magazine instead of the official programme. It did allow me to benefit from some words of wisdom from Rob Butler though. In his interview he commented:
'Lewis Grabban will flourish in thie premier League. He runs all game and takes his chances. Bradley Johnson could finally get an England nod...' He went on to predict a score draw.
YOU KNOW NOTHING ROB BUTLER!

4. I liked the little quips painted on the walls as you walked up the stairs to your seat '36ft This is how high Waddles penalty went in 1990' 'nine small steps for man...one normal step for Peter Crouch'

5. The SoL was teched out! Proper 4g and a video screen. The video screen was useless though and distracting. It mainly showed adverts for their sponsors Daftbet. I really would have liked them to show a replay of our goals but only after we'd all finished cheering not DURING our celebrations. Tut!
