I did wonder that myself.

Would make sense for Palace not to sanction the deal until after today in case he scored against them. Wouldn't make Pardew too clever if that were to happen. Although, if this were the case, why name him on the bench? A waste of a subs place if he is never going to be used so close to a big money deal. I dunno. We'll definitely be getting someone in I reckon.
