From the start and a bookable offence for a palace player not being 10 yards from a free kick and would have received a yellow from any experienced ref in the prem, the writing was on the wall. Occasions when a free kick was to be retaken because it was too far back from the incident, can you believe that. It seems that the ref was listening to the fourth official with his new found powers. Come on guys surely a team who has received a free kick should not be penalised with quick thinking and a potential opportunity. I know that everyone has to start somewhere but there must be questions as to whether referee Hooper was experienced enough to take the plunge into the premier. So much money money at stake and I am afraid this guy didn't have the cajones to make the right decisions. Well its a long old season and hopefully no more YTS referees.
