Are you suggesting Bailey's opinion counts more because he's a sports journalist?

Because it doesn't work like that I'm afraid. This coming from someone who has been in press boxes and seen high level ones ignore most of the match in favour of socialising! Not saying Bailey is like that, but even then it's just his opinion. Journalism school teaches you how to report a story, pick up on hot topics, craft pertinent interviews and create solid sources (which is all often subjective based on perspective and accounts), not to be a football genius.
