I was looking through my event log (for something else) and noted a few errors. It seems W10 had tried to kick off the upgrade a few times and failed, all without telling me.
A bit of looking around yielded the following fix, which is provided as-is, without any warranty, it may not work, you may turn into a yellowjack toad if you even read further and I take no responsibility for anything. I'm trying it myself, waiting for the download to complete.
The error I had was eventID 20, text Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80240020: Upgrade to Windows 10 Home.
This error means the download is corrupted in some way.
1. Go into "C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload" and delete everything in that folder.
2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
3. Go to your Control Panel > Windows Update and your Windows 10 will start downloading again..
