Sure.

The brain can get sick just like any other part of the body. We take meds for diabetes and other physical illnesses, anything mental health related should be given just as much respect if not more, given that the brain controls everything.

Managing our minds if tough going, and for some it seems almost impossible.

I can only empathise with you about your condition and what you've experienced, but I have no doubt whatsoever it must be a huge struggle, which has it's ups and downs.

I am no expert in this field, but I do believe life is made easier when sufferers of any mental illness/health problem are able to talk openly about it with others and not feel it is a stigmatised or taboo subject, and to not feel they are alone in the struggle.

Do you know many other people in a similar boat to yourself Dubs? Ruby Wax (who has bipolar) set up a Black Dog Tribe to help others meet their own people/tribe, so that the members could feel they were not alone and amongst others who experienced similar things to them, a bit like we are all on the wrath because we all share the pain and jubilation of supporting Norwich City ;-)
