Because if you do that, you'll be accused of being sick

or even worse, you'll be accused of things you haven't done (harassment, creepy, even youth or child accusations)

It's the same as seeing a child lost. I could go up to the child and offer help to get them back to their parents. Or I could walk on and think "If I go up to that child, I'll be called all sorts by society"

That's the society you live in, and people keep it to themselves
