We are short of full-backs. And if felt like we were a striker light at times last season

These things don't suddenly become not true just because Alex Neil is a good manager.

As you say, one or two additions are needed. In that sense, we don't want to start the season with what we've got.

I don't think we will though. He's plainly trying to bring in a full back and a striker (and perhaps a CB, too). Even he admits it's taking longer than he'd like, so I don't see why we shouldn't be allowed to say that. But I still think we'll bring people in.
